When the Oras Cubista faucet line was designed a couple of years ago, the goal and challenge was to make a modern but yet personal and outstanding faucet line with great functionality, says the designer of the faucet Industrial Designer Kirsi Svärd. The designer expresses her fascination in cubism, in which objects in an abstract form are broken up, analysed and re-assembled. Therefore Oras Cubista faucet collection has been strongly influenced by the geometrical forms of cubism: cones, cylinders and spheres.
The Oras Cubista collection is exceptionally wide. The range includes faucets for all water points at home: kitchen, bathroom and other sanitary facilities. The newcomer to this faucet family is a touchless wash basin faucet designed both for modern homes as well as wash basin premises of public facilities. This touchless faucet is also available with a multipurpose hand shower ‘Bidetta’.

Oras Cubista touchless wash basin faucet comes also equipped with the user-friendly Bidetta hand shower. The functioning of this faucet is also as easy as the usage of a normal touch-less faucet: you open the faucet without touching it with your hands. Then the already famil-iar Bidetta hand shower is also at your disposal.
The Bidetta hand shower always makes the intimate washing possible since it is located by the side of the WC-seat. So the washing possibility is available also in places where installa-tion of a bidét is not possible. In small toilets and bathrooms especially, Oras Bidetta hand shower enhances the scope of Oras faucets. Besides personal hygiene, a hand shower also makes it is easy to wash e.g. shoes or even pets. Flexible and versatile; suitable both for new and old premises.
After showering the faucet turns off automatically – a new standard for hygiene and water saving!
Reliable sensor and durable construction
We take it as a fact that our products are outstanding in terms of durability, functionality and technical quality. The Autofocus sensor of Oras Cubista touchless faucets is extremely pre-cise and reliable. It detects the differences between colours and surfaces and functions there-fore under any lighting conditions. Due to their reliability, Oras Cubista touchless faucets are extremely good to be used by children as well as elderly people. They are a great solution to problems arising during opening and closing of a traditional faucet or regulating a suitable temperature.
The familiar and tested technique (protection class IP67) of faucets working on batteries (6V) ensures reliable and safe functioning also under extreme usage and working conditions.
The new wash basin faucet is easy to install by using flexible connection pipes.
Automatically closing dishwasher valve
The speciality of Oras Cubista kitchen faucets lie in the so-called time-driven kitchen faucet; the connection valve for a dish washing machine closes automatically either after three or twelve hours – one can never forget it open. Safe and user-friendly.
The spout of the Oras Cubista kitchen faucet is high and arching, a graphically astonishing visual element. It provides sufficient working space for washing the biggest pots and pans.
Oras Cubista was awarded in the Fennia Prize 2009 competition
Due to its clear design, the Oras Cubista is perfectly consistent with other already existing water supply fittings. Additionally to its stylish design, the users most definitely appreciate the ease of its cleaning. As an indication of successful design, the Oras Cubista collection de-signed by Kirsi Svärd was awarded with recognition in the Fennia Prize 2009 competition.
